How quickly do cats respond once the Sentry collar is placed on their necks?
The perception of the pheromones in the collar is immediate once the collar is placed around your cat’s neck. However, as in every behaviour programme, the visible improvement in specific behaviours may take some time, depending on a variety of factors: the cat, the nature, duration and severity of the problem and behaviour modification (cat and owner). Usually an improvement in specific behaviours is seen in the first two weeks after wearing the collar, but some cats may need a month to show visible improvement.
Adjust collar to fit around cat's neck by leaving approximately 1/4" space between pet's neck and collar. Cut off excess portion of collar, leaving 1-2 inches for extra adjustment. For growing kittens, regularly adjust the fit of the collar to make sure it's not too tight. For all cats, monitor daily to ensure proper fit. Using good hygiene practice, wash hands with soap and water after placing collar on cat.
