Is dog clothing a fashion trend or necessary?

Believe it or not, but your dog gets just as cold as you do come winter time. Especially if they’re teeny tiny or if they’ve got a party of fur on the top and nothing on the bottom (Chinese Crested dogs, we’re lookin’ at you). Generally, many people turn these jerseys into a fashion statement. However, it all just depends on your doggo’s breed, their size and the temperature outside or inside.

Can cats wear dog clothes?

Hairless cats, such as the gorgeous Sphynx, may require warm clothing and blankets during the cooler months of South Africa. If you notice that you’ve got a cat that shivers or gets cold easily, you could try and dress them up in a smaller dog jersey or jacket. Proceed with caution and gauge their behaviour, as your cat may not like being dressed up. However, if it’s absolutely necessary and your cat has, for instance, been shaved for surgery and needs to keep warm, you can train your cat to gradually wear a warm item of clothing.
