BLE Tracking
Track your pet through the Sentinel app using Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) technology. Location information is updated at approximately 10-minute intervals, subject to signal availability and environmental conditions.
Geo-Fencing & Alerts
Set a virtual safe zone around your home or another chosen area. When the system detects that your pet has moved outside the designated zone, an alert can be generated through the Sentinel platform. Because location updates occur at approximately 10-minute intervals, alerts are not guaranteed to be instantaneous.
Battery Life
Sentinel's battery is designed for long-term use, with an expected battery life of approximately 12–18 months under normal operating conditions. Actual battery life may vary depending on usage, environmental conditions and other operating factors.
Subscription & Cost
The tracker comes with a free 12-month subscription to the Sentinel app and platform. After the first year, a small annual renewal fee applies to keep the service active.
Compatibility & Fit
The Sentinel Pet Tracker is compatible with Apple/iOS and Android devices. The Sentinel Node is attached to the collar and is lightweight, water-resistant and compact.
Warranty
Warranty, Returns and Product Support
1.1 Standard 24-month Warranty – Hardware warranties apply only as expressly confirmed by Sentinel IoT or the applicable manufacturer.
1.2 Warranty Exclusions – Warranty does not apply to:
A. Misuse or Physical damage.
B. Unauthorised modification.
C. Incorrect installation.
D. Water ingress outside stated product rating.
E. Battery depletion.
F. Tampering.
G. Use outside specification.
H. Third-party accessories.
I. Network failure.
J. Platform suspension due to non-payment.
1.3 DOA Process – Dead-on-arrival claims must be reported in writing within 7 calendar days of receipt, together with supporting evidence.
1.4 Return-to-Base – Unless otherwise agreed, warranty assessment is conducted on a return-to-base basis.
1.5 Sentinel IoT Support – Sentinel IoT may provide second-line support relating to product specifications, platform guidance, diagnostics, warranty assessment, and approved escalation.
1.6 Performance Conditions – Warranty does not extend to performance expectations influenced by environmental, network, or third-party system conditions.
