4 Easy To Train Steps:

1. Encourage the desired behaviour
2. Click the moment it happens
3. Reward immediately afterwards
4. Add visual or verbal cue – E.G:  "sit" once the behaviour becomes consistent

1. You will need some reward treats for your dog during training sessions. Treats should be small but really tasty and taken from your dog's daily food allowance.
2. Choose a quiet place with no distractions for training sessions.
3. For your dog to associate the click sound with a reward, you must first "charge the clicker".
4. To do this, click and then immediately give your dog a treat.
5. Do not click and reward at the same time; the treat must follow the click.
6. Repeat this until your dog becomes alert to the sound and starts to expect a treat from you.
7. In the early stages even if you click by accident, you must reward your dog.
