HOW TO MEASURE THOSE PAWSOME PAWS

For the best fit, it’s best to measure from the bottom of the big heel pad to the tip of the longest toe nail. If the paw is in-between two sizes, naturally select the larger size please

PREVENT PAIN AND FRUSTRATION IN THE LONG TERM

Please check the size. Remember these doggy shoes are a slight challenge to get onto their paws (but can of course be stretched – hooray).

DO NOT have your dog wear them for longer than 8 -12 hours (see important information tab) and use talcum powder to keep them dry, clean and sweat-free at all times, because it’s vital. 
 

DON’T LEAVE THEM ON TOO LONG

If left on for too long, it can result in pressure and skin breakdown – especially if your dog has been sweating. The Sticky Pawz should not be left on for more than 8 hours in warm weather (12 hours in cooler weather).

They should also be refreshed with talcum powder between use – to help ensure they are not damp and/or sweaty, because that’s gross and can also result in skin breakdown.

CHECK IF THEIR FRONT AND BACK FEET THE SAME SIZE

This might sound like an odd request, but often in older dogs – their front and back feet are "not the same size" – shocker!

Dogs with hindlimb issues may distribute their weight more on their forelimbs, evident by a "splayed toes" appearance and it would appear the front feet are then bigger than the back. The fit of the Sticky Pawz would then be affected, and there actually have been dogs who needed one size for the front paws and another size for the hind – true story.

Ask yourself – do the XL booties slip down on the front and back feet? If they are slipping on all limbs/feet, then they are indeed too big. 

YES, YOU MAY OF COURSE STRETCH THEM

Stretching the Sticky Pawz will definetely also help. They can be tight to begin with –  so it’s recommended that placing them stretched over a deoderant / other spray can and then left for 12 hours to stretch, does work wonders.

They are much like a hairbands really, that hold everything in place, but eventually start to stretch with use. So if the owner found them to still be too tight – stretching them may just help and be the answer.
